Saving 40 hours a month gave me the mental space to focus on growing the business and enjoying my life again" - Josh Daniels, Founder & CEO
Understanding the challenge
We've known Josh, the founder of Go Amplify for a while before we started working together.
When he first reached out to us, he was exhausted. On paper, his agency was thriving. 50% year-on-year growth, a solid client base and a growing reputation in the industry. But behind the scenes he was truly challenged.
And not just professionally but also personally. The drive that once fuelled his business had dimmed. And everything... clients, projects, team management felt like an unbearable weight.
Like many founders, he prided himself on perfection. He had built his agency from the ground up, learning everything himself SEO, digital PR even the nitty-gritty of PPC campaigns. But as the business grew, so did his responsibilities.

“I was wearing 20 different hats,” he told me. “Managing clients, handling accounts, HR, even running project management. It was chaos.” - Josh
There was a moment, just before we started working together, when he seriously considered stepping away. The business had become a job he couldn’t escape.
Our approach
When we started working together, our goal wasn’t just to give him and his team the systems, it was to shift his mindset on how the agency business should be scaled.
“We broke down where my hours were going,” he recalled. “It was eye-opening. I was buried in low-value tasks. Things my team should have been handling.” - Josh
So, we built a roadmap:
- Delegation: transferring project management and other lower leverage activities to a trusted team member.
- Process clarity: implementing clear systems so tasks weren’t bottlenecked at the top.
- Mindset shift: letting go of the belief that “if I don’t do it, it won’t be done right.”
Each change was uncomfortable.
There were moments when he resisted, moments when he felt like he was losing control. But he kept pushing through.

Results
Seven months later, the transformation was undeniable.
- His agency revenue almost doubled.
- He had traveled the world, picking up new clients along the way.
- His team was thriving, with clear roles and accountability.
- He had finally stepped into the role of CEO, instead of being the agency’s biggest bottleneck.
Today, he’s building a portfolio of businesses.
With the systems in place, he’s expanded into e-commerce, launching a gaming-focused energy drink brand. And there’s another project on the horizon, one he’s keeping confidential for now.
But more importantly? He’s reconnected with the reason he started in the first place: freedom.
“It’s funny,” he said. “I used to think working less meant earning less. Turns out, it’s the opposite.” - Josh
Too many agency owners fall into the same trap thinking that more work equals more growth. But real scale doesn’t happen when you do everything yourself. It happens when you build a business that runs without you.
This founder’s story isn’t unique. It’s just a question of whether you’re willing to make the same shift.
So, ask yourself: are you building a business that supports your life, or one that consumes it?
